General Care Instructions
Important tips and guidelines for taking care of Xenon and Leo
Potty Schedule
Go outside every few hours - no more than 4 hours if possible. They know the word 'potty'!
Xenon's Signal
Xenon will stand by the door to let you know she needs to go out.
Leo's Needs
If Leo is crying or shaking: he needs to potty, is cold, or wants to be picked up. Coax him outside and say 'go potty' until he does!
Treats
Give treats 2-3 times/day when they go outside to potty. Poop bags by the treat jar, trash can outside by back door on the right.
Leo's Safety
Try not to let Leo jump off high surfaces, especially the bed.
Water
Make sure they always have fresh water available!
Cuddly Buddies
They are very cuddly and like to be with you at all times!
Leash Policy
Xenon pulls a lot on a leash, so best to just let them outside in the back yard. Leashes are by the front door if needed.
Xenon's Paws
Wipe Xenon's paws with blue towels only or wipes if it's rainy/wet or if she runs along the fence to the right (it's muddy).
Supplies Location
All doggie 'stuff' is in the cabinet to the left of the dishwasher in the kitchen.
Background Noise
Leave on the TV for them during the day for background noise if possible.

Feeding Instructions
They get very, very excited about food time!
Morning
6-7 AM
They want to eat right away after they pee in the morning
Evening
4 PM
They will whine or dance around starting at 3:30 PM! Try to wait until 4 PM.

2-3 times/day
When they go outside to potty

Farmer's Dog (refrigerated)
Morning Supplements:
Cosequin supplements (given in the morning)
Instructions:
- •Gets 1 square per meal (AM and PM) = 2 squares per day
- •One full pack should be 8 squares total
- •Once you fill the tray, you should have enough for 2 additional meals
- •Best way to distribute: Fold the bag in half and cut in the middle with scissors
- •Store leftovers in ziplock bags in the refrigerator
Xenon's Meals
Breakfast
½ pack + ¼ cup kibble
Dinner
½ pack + ¼ cup kibble
Food Type:
Farmer's Dog (refrigerated) + Kibble
Morning Supplements:
Medicine (given in the morning)
Instructions:
- •Gets ½ pack per meal (AM and PM) = 1 full pack per day
- •Also gets ¼ cup kibble from the big dog food bag (fill the cup inside to the white tape line)
- •Best way to distribute: Fold the bag in half and cut in the middle with scissors
- •Thaw 2-3 packs at a time (need to thaw for 12 hrs or run under hot water for 5 min in a bind)
- •Store leftovers in ziplock bags in the refrigerator

Morning Routine
Start the day right with the pups!
They go outside first thing to pee
They will want to eat right away after peeing
Give Xenon her medicine and Leo his Cosequin supplements
Then they will need to poop :)
Evening Routine
Wind down with the dogs for the night
They beg to eat until fed at 4 PM (start begging at 3:30 PM!)
Make sure you have enough food thawed for the next day
Xenon will get in bed at some point :)
Make sure they both potty before bed (Leo will need to go many times after dinner)
